Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

Doctor's Advice

Doctor's Advice : Keep Taking the Medicine
Patient: It's been one month since my last visit and I still feel miserable.
Doctor: Did you follow the instructions on the medicine I gave you?
Patient: I sure did - the bottle said 'keep tightly closed.'

In all seriousness, Nathan had his 6-month check-up today and beyond admiring the artwork on the walls, we found out he now weighs 12 pounds and is 25 inches long! He had three shots, which were no sweat for this little guy and he is not scheduled to go back for another 3 months! At 6-months of age all children with Down Syndrome should have their thyroid, hearing, and eyes rechecked (all of which were done at birth). So, we'll be visiting two specialists and the lab for blood work before our next appointment.

We also stopped by to see Mim today!

25 inches! He is getting tall! Good luck with the specialist appointments-- he looks awesome! We can't wait to see him-- we'll be in NY July 17-21, and are hoping to have everyone to the farm on Sunday for a BBQ--invitations are being mailed today- hope you can make it!

Oh my God - 3 shots?! I don't mind shots for myself but they terrify me for little Luci. Glad to hear he's a tough little boy!
