Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

Miss You Daddy!

Danny left for work this morning and we miss him! Nathan's jammies say "Dad's Team."

To our cousin's in Boston - these jammies in NO WAY mean Nathan is a Red Socks fan. In fact, Nathan is going to get his pictures today and Danny left instructions to NOT get his picture in these jammies because they didn't look like Yankee jammies!! hahaha too funny!

From Hiking to the Beach..Happy Memorial Day!

I decided because the weather was going to be perfect that I'd take Nathan on his first hike through the Adirondack Mountains! In preparation I went to the Eastern Mountain Sports Store and got us both bug nets and some other "just in case" emergency supplies like ponchos, a compass, a whistle, emergency blankets and some other things. I even purchased a booked titled "Kids on the Trail" just to be sure we were on an appropriate leveled trail for us and the other children coming along.

On Saturday morning we left for Hadley Mountain at 8:00am and thanks to the navigation system had no trouble finding it! As soon as we got there I was thankful for the bug nets! The little black nats were terrible and the black flys were out. I completely covered Nathan in his net and we headed up the trail. He was so cute - looking up at me through that net. If that trail wasn't so steep I'd have taken a picture.

It didn't take me long (about a quarter mile or so) to decide that the trail was not suited for Nathan or the other kids - it was very steep - so we headed back to the cars.

We drove around a bit and ended up having lunch at Lake Luzerne then headed home to a cook out at the Eglin home. Our next trail is going to be Katterskill falls.
On Memorial Day we headed to Grafton for our annual beach trip with the Fiacco and Raus families! Nathan never got in his bathing suit or in the water because it was freezing!! Although, the other kids had no problem getting wet and building sand castles on the beach. The weather was perfect and Nathan just hung out with all of us. Next summer, I have no doubt that we'll be playing in the sand too!

Nathan also had fruit for the first time yesterday - pears! As you might expect - he loved them!

Hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend and took a few minutes to pay your respects to the men and women that serve our country and ensure our freedom.
