New Year's Resolutions - Same Ole' Same Ole'

Happy New Year!!!!!

Each and every New Year I've made resolutions that have been self directed. You probably know what I mean - "this year, I'd like to loose weight - get into the best shape of my life." I've even made resolutions to floss my teeth more. I've been asking friends what their New Year's resolutions are and the answers have been typical. Most of us actually resolve to do a lot of the same things year after year.

This year, I decided to start a new trend in New Year's resolutions and have resolved to make this world a better place in 2009. I am proud of our family - in 2008 we did just that without a New Year's resolution. We collected food for those in need for Thanksgiving, we delivered food to those in need on Thanksgiving day, we helped a little girl from church whose mother died suddenly, we adopted an entire family for Christmas, we had a Toys for Tots drive, and we planned the 2008 Buddy Walk!!!!! For all of you that helped in these efforts - Thank you for making this world a better place!!!

This year, I resolve to continue with these efforts but do even more to make this world a better place for all of us - including my son. I have lots of ideas and can't wait to execute! It's going to be a great year! I hope that you'll join me in making 2009 a happy year for someone you don't know and never will.

God bless from my family to yours.

Your resolutions are so wonderful because they are completely selfless and they help so many deserving people. We should all make the resolution to make the world a better place- every little bit helps! Happy New Year!
