Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

Map the Fallen

Hi everyone! The Terry Family has been away on vacation and we've just returned but today isn't about us or about Nathan. Today, is about honoring our men and women in the military and sincerely thanking them for our freedom. On that note, I'd like to share something with you created by a graduate student and employee of Google ~ it's a map of the fallen soldiers in the War on Terror.

The map utilizes "Google Earth to honor the more than 5,700 American and Coalition servicemen and women that have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan." The creator uses mapping technology to connect "you with each of their stories—you can see photos, learn about how they died, visit memorial websites with comments from friends and families, and explore the places they called home and where they died."

So often times we hear on the news a soldier has lost his/her life in combat but we know very little else. These brave men and women gave their life to protect us and in the process forever changed the lives of those they loved.

I know I'm going to take some time this week and learn about the soldiers that gave their life for me. God bless their families ~ Happy Memorial Day

Very sobering, thanks for sharing it. I got a sad feeling thinking that each of these people gave up their lives for our country, for us, and I do not even have the time to read them all to get to know who they were.

Wow, that is an amazing and sad graphic. Thanks for posting it. Hopefully people remember what this day is all about.
