Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

The Gifts!!! (Birthday Bash Part VI)

We decided it would be best if Nathan opened his gifts at home - he was a little cranky and a lot tired. It was the right decision. After his nap Nathan was able to take his time and he opened each and every one of his gifts with out the pressure of the guests wanting him to hurry up so they could go home. We really had fun watching him rip the paper. Here are the pictures from the gift unwrapping!

Nathan received so many toys! What a lucky little boy!! Thank you, to each of you that so generously and thoughtfully gave Nathan a birthday gift. He will have fun playing with each toy as we go through the year. Nathan also received a very special gift I'd like to tell you about. It was from his Great-Nonnie. It was a herringbone 18k gold necklace straight from Italy with three charms. One of the charms is a soccer ball that was given to his Great-Nonnie when she was Christened as a baby herself. I told her we'd give it to him one day when we know he can be responsible for it. It's just beautiful.

It's My Party & I'll Cry If I Want To! (Part III)

We also had Baby Einstein cupcakes!

I knew Nathan was either going to do his sweet little dance at the Happy Birthday song or he would cry. He very rarely cries so I just wasn't sure.

All About The Kids! (1st Birthday Part II)

Nathan's 1st birthday party was all about the kids! And, Baby Einstein of course. I chose colors identical to that of the Baby Einstein caterpillar. I wanted nothing to match but everything to be coordinated! We had the event at the Desmond Hotel in the King Street Courtyard - I just love the venue and the inside courtyards are really spectacular.

This is the Baby Einstein caterpillar the Balloon Artist/Magician made for Nathan - isn't it awesome! The event also featured a Baby Von Gogh Birthday Card table - where the children were able to make 1st birthday cards for Nathan. I loved the cards! We're going to save them and continue this tradition.Stay tuned - there is more to come!

Nathan's Birthday Weekend! (Part I)

There is so much to show and tell you about the past birthday weekend, I'm going to do post about the events a little each day.

The festivities began Friday - Nathan's actual birthday. I had wanted the day to be all about Nathan - I thought it would be nice to take him to ride a carousel. I had thought there was a few locally but after a little investigation I found out that one only operates during the summer and the other is no longer in operation. I knew there was one in Syracuse (2.5 hrs away) at the Carousel Mall, so I decided we'd head there! Why not? I don't mind driving and today was all about my baby! Just before we left I checked the weather on my new handy dandy iPhone and found out they were expecting snow. So, we headed to the mall for lunch with Nathan's Grandmother and Nonnie! As you can see, it didn't take long before he fell asleep - shopping is exhausting! I know I was tired by the time we got home!
To finish off our day Danny, Nathan and I had a nice dinner and some strawberry & oreo cheesecake before he headed off to sleep.
