Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

The Permanent Markings of an Angel

Danny has wanted to get a tattoo for years and this past weekend he finally did ~ in honor of his favorite little guy ~ Nathan.
The angel is praying over Nathan. The roman columns in the background depict our mutual admiration for Roman architecture as does the broken cobble stone under the angel's feet. Danny has been trying to convince me to have Nathan's feet tattooed on my lower back but I'm not really feeling it.

Early Intervention ~ NYS Budget Agreement

I've just spent the morning combing through the New York State Health Budget bill (S.56-b) and the appropriate Article VII bills and the previous Early Intervention parental fees and billing changes proposed by Governor Paterson have been omitted by the Legislature!!!

I've also done a basic legislative search and the only mention of Early Intervention was found with regard to the current Rockefeller drug laws - not developmental disability services!! So, it appears NYS is going to treat their drug offenders and their children.

If I am incorrect (which I doubt) or I come across any additional information, I'll be sure to pass it along with an update to this post.

A Surprise Visitor

Nathan had a very cool surprise visit from the Easter Bunny just before bedtime last night! Most people have to go to hunt down the Easter Bunny at a local mall but not Nathan ~ he gets rock star treatment!

He loved the Easter Bunny ~ even gave him a kiss! It was so cute to see him so excited.

Note to Nathan ~ this was actually your cousin Anthony. He got all dressed up and surprised you! This was the first time you actually ever saw the Easter Bunny and you thought he was awesome! Chopper on the other hand wasn't so thrilled.
The Easter Bunny brought you a little egg with a chicky inside and a tiny dog that barks.
