Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

On Sunday, we took a really cool trip to Liberty Ridge Farms, about a 30 minute drive from our home. This particular farm is well known for it's fall corn mazes, where you are encouraged to actually go get lost! In fact, it's not only encouraged, it's impossible not to get lost, as we found out!!
I wasn't sure if we could bring Nathan and his stroller into the maze. We hadn't actually gone for that reason ~ there were lots of other activities at the farm. Nathan's aunt and his cousin were going to go through the maze but as we approached the entrance we saw a stroller come out! We all thought ~ ok, why not? We seriously were lost for almost an hour in phase one (there are two phases) and what was suppose to be a clear blue sky day was turning dark. We were really trying to get out without much success. Then we saw a snake! YIKES!

Just when we thought we were doomed we found this ~ help! Wow, how creative of them. So, we gave it a whirl ~ we could use a clue...YEAH RIGHT! No one returned our text message and we continued to be lost. The sky's were really getting dark now....

Then, we discovered the bridge, which we didn't know we had to cross until after we were already very lost. Not good, I had the stroller but we had no choice ~ we had to cross this bridge to get out. We couldn't go back ~ we'd never find our way out. We carried the stroller to the top. As you can see from the below picture we are now above the corn maze.
And, not a moment too soon ~ the rain hit less than 10 minutes after we found our way out. Thankfully, we were under a covered area while Nathan and Emily were getting their totally cool tattoos. If you've not visited Liberty Ridge ~ it's worth the drive. The kids will have so much fun. We did. Getting lost was our favorite part!
