Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

The Not-So Oreo Cookie Kid

Nathan began attending school three days a week on Tuesday, and it couldn't have been a more fitting day to start ~ it was Dr. Seuss's birthday!!! In honor of the day, Nathan wore his favorite Thing 2 t-shirt (thanks Rose!) and we brought in lots of Dr. Seuss hats for the teachers to wear all day! They had a great time reading stories and doing activities.

One of his teachers brought in Oreo cookies for snack and when I arrived to pick Nathan up, they shared with me that he didn't eat one cookie! She said Nathan had absolutely no interest in eating Oreos ~ he was happy eating his gold fish. We laughed but I told them, Nathan has never even seen an Oreo cookie! Than I started thinking ~ Nathan is two years old and he's never seen an Oreo cookie. Can you believe that? I don't buy junk food because we'll eat it! Nathan eats healthy a vast majority of the time. Although, he has his favorites ~ ice cream and we go out for pizza every Tuesday night (it's called Pizza Tuesday) but that's about it. He doesn't eat candy, treats or cookies. It's not that he can't have them, I just don't think to buy it. So, Nathan has no interest in indulging in the sweet stuff. I'm sure this is short lived and he'll make up for lost time soon enough.

In other news, Nathan's ears are doing great! He had a check up with the specialist and everything is perfect. We go back in six months. Now that Nathan is back on track, I have to make appointments to have his eyes checked, his hearing tested, and a dental check up.

These are just some fun pictures I've taken over the past week.

Thanks for checking in on Nathan. Have a blessed day!
