My New Rides!!

This has been a busy week ~ school is ending and I'm finishing up grading papers and exams. I also decided over the weekend, to have be computer free, which is why I've not posted in a while. I'll be back into the swing of things by Monday.
We spent the weekend at camp, eating smores, going hiking and just having some nice relaxing family fun. A few weeks ago when we were there, I kept seeing kids riding around in cars that were being pushed by an adult. They looked so cool and the kids looked as if they were really enjoying tooling around in them. I had to find one for Nathan, which turned out to not be so easy. I went to countless stores until I found one ~ the last one! As you might expect, he loves it!

I also wanted to buy Nathan a play yard. I'm not a big fan of using the pack and play ~ I use it if I have to but it's so small and I feel incredibly guilty whenever Nathan's in it. My cousin has a play yard for their son and its big. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Camp can be fun and dangerous for a toddler. We're not willing to take the chance of Nathan running into the road or toward the fire, and I don't want to be reprimanding him all the time either ~ what fun is that? It's stressful for all of us.
The play yard is great! Nathan has tons of room to play and there's plenty of room for us to play with him (free from the dog!).
This weekend we also decided to walk some of the hiking trails at our camp ground. Again, we were concerned about Nathan and the bugs we could encountered in the woods. So, we took a trip to Target and bought this bicycle attachment, that's also a double or single stroller. It is completely enclosed and water proof. It's awesome! I love it!!! We filled it with toys and Nathan was able to play and enjoy the hike. We came across a horse farm and few other interesting sites along the way. We only hiked a portion of the trails ~ there's much more exploring awaiting us this summer. We just need a few bikes now.
