We are batting 0 for 2, with the Adirondack Balloon Festival! For the second year in a row, we got up at 4:00am and headed to watch the launch of over 90 hot air balloons at sunrise, without success. The first year the fog was so thick, you could cut it with a knife, and this year it was too windy. Next year, we're doing the afternoon launch!
This weekend we took Nathan to a place named Bounce Around. It's a play area filled with all types of bouncy bounces, inflatable slides and games. They have a specified area for little ones under three, so we knew Nathan could safely bounce around without being launched by the big kids. He had a great time but couldn't quite figure out exactly what to do in there and we weren't allowed in to show him. We had to rely on talking him through the area and the other kids setting an example. He figured it out.
Nathan still had the opportunity to watch about 4 or 5 of the balloons inflate......he even had the chance to run around inside one of them, which we thought was super nice of the owner! His team hooked the balloon up to a huge wind machine, so it inflated on the ground and they allowed the kids to run wild.
Thanks for stopping by!
