This winter has been hard on Nathan and it seems like every time we turn around, he's coming down with a cold or the stomach bug. Before Nathan started toddler school, he was never sick ~ not once in 18 months. And, as much as we value his experience, we're looking forward to summer, just so he won't be sick anymore.
Our family is very fortunate that when Nathan's not feeling well, I don't "have" to send him to school. Many parents that don't have that luxury, which is probably one of the reasons there's so much sickness in these child-centered facilities. I don't keep Nathan home for just his sake, but for the sake of the other children and their families. The kicker to all of this, is we recently added another day to Nathan's school schedule, in preparation for his 5-days-a-week preschool schedule in the fall. I don't think he's been there for a full 4-days yet! Murphy's law.
On one of his sick days, Nathan got quiet all of a sudden. Oh, no! He was up to something and I knew it! If you're a parent you know what I'm talking about. And there he was ~ no pants or diaper! Running around free as a jay bird; loving his new found freedom. Little turkey!
In other news, pending Nathan's chest cold he'll be returning to hippotherapy tomorrow! I'm sure he's going to be thrilled to see his friend Babe and ride on his horse. We've also signed Nathan up for swimming lessons!!! I've wanted to for sometime, but the right opportunity hadn't presented itself ~ until now. We'll be taking Nathan to my alma mater for lessons with the varsity swim team and I couldn't be happier! I'll blog more about it when he starts in a few weeks, but it's perfect timing ~ summer and camp are right around the corner!!!
We have lots of other exciting things happening in our lives, but that's another story for another time! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
