Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

My husband doesn't always read Nathan's posts, but he loves the pictures!  So when he starts telling me I need to update the blog, I know it's been too long.  Working three jobs, raising Nathan, going to the gym, taking my own class and doing all of my other everyday chores has been overwhelming lately.   The blog and other things have taken a back seat, but I'm back on track now. Classes and Session are ending and summer is about to begin!  Thank God. So, I guess it's time to do a little catch-up!

These are a few pictures from Easter.  Grammy and I took Nathan to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the YMCA ~ he was less than thrilled with this big bunny, which is so strange because he loves the Easter Bunny when he visits at Aunt Sandy's.

Easter Dinner With Family

Grammy and I took Nathan to a character breakfast, which wasn't really a breakfast at all and really wasn't much fun. This was certainly a one-time event and Nathan did get to see a couple of fun t.v. personalities, so it wasn't a total wash!

Nathan took a few group swimming lessons at the YMCA recently, but there were too many children in the pool and it left him very uneasy. He was very clingy in the pool, which is unlike him and not conducive to learning to swim.  Next year, we're going to schedule private lessons rather than these group sessions.  Nathan needs more individualized attention.

His cousin signed up to go with us, but the kids only actually made it into the pool together once.

Don't ask me what they're doing, but this is too cute!

With the introduction of Spring, comes the return to horse therapy!  For the past two years, Nathan has been riding Babe, a shorter and wider horse, but now that Nathan is getting older and stronger, he has rode two other horses this session.  These are a few very short videos of some of what Nathan does during his therapy.  He's riding Flint in these videos.

Nathan and Charmer
This past weekend, we celebrated in the First Holy Communion of Nathan's cousin.  These two are truly bff's and since moving into this apartment we don't see my sister and niece as much as we'd like. We're looking forward to moving into our new house and being across the street from them.

Nathan and Daddy

Last week, Nathan came down with the yucky stomach bug, so daddy bought him a new friend ~ Ernie.  Ernie now sleeps with Nathan every night.  It's super cute!!

Nathan has also conquered another fear ~ the swing!  Since he was a baby, Nathan has never liked the swing, but his teachers have been working on it at school and with the inception of the nice weather, we've been spending lots of time at the park.

***Caution ~ if you push Nathan on the swing be mindful that he will jump off unexpectedly if another child near him does.  Be prepared.  He is now No-Fear-Terry.

Thanks for stopping by!  Up next ~ The Special Education Loaf.
