Nathan is Hebrew and means "gift from God" - we couldn't have been more blessed than to have been chosen as his parents!

Thank you for keeping up-to-date with Nathan. We hope you visit often and enjoy experiencing our son's journey as much as we do. Please feel free to leave comments.

We love hearing from everyone!!!!

Baseball, Soccer and a little Yogi Bear

Now that Nathan's five, he can participate in sporting activities with the Miracle League in East Greenbush.  I may have blogged about this already, but the beginning of summer brought with it some new opportunities - baseball and soccer!
Nathan absolutely LOVES baseball and is on the Atlanta Braves! Dad usually helps him on the field, but he is certainly getting the hang of it.

Running HOME! This picture is sweet.

Lily, Aunt Charly and Aunt Niki came to watch my first game!  Thanks for your support!

So did Nonnie, Grammie and Aunt Domenica!

This is my absolute favorite picture from his first game.

Let's talk about soccer because that was a totally different ball of wax.  Nathan loves soccer, but he couldn't play on the team because all ages play together and there was one player who kept trying to take Nathan out!  Literally.  One time, he kicked the ball and knocked him right off his feet, on purpose.

Daddy loved playing with the kids!

SUMMER = It's time to have fun camping!!!

Nothing like fishing with Daddy!

This picture is sweet!

We recently spent a week camping in Western New York, at the Jellystone campground and it was AWESOME!  There is so much for the kids to do and unlike most resorts, just about all the activities were included in our stay.  There was a water park, two pools, mini golf, laser tag, peddle carts, hay rides, constant activities, canoes, a beach, a huge activities center, game room and Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy Bear were usually around having fun with the kids.  We were also treated to a live band and fireworks display.  Hands-down the best rv park we have ever stayed at!
There are quite a few pictures below, but for some strange reason, I couldn't get all of them all to load into blogger.

The campground had a water park and after much worrying, we let Nathan go down the slides alone.  YIKES!  Danny stayed at the bottom and I was at the top just in case anything went wrong, but guess what?  He was fine and loved every second of these slides!
We were so close to the Canadian border and Niagara Falls, we wanted to spend a day exploring the falls, the Maid of the Mist and Clifton Street in Canada.  As you'll see, the boat wasn't such a hit with Nathan, but I loved it.

Daddy the Sumo wrestler and our friends

Nathan's saying, "help me, I hate this boat."

Daddy wore his glasses on our boat ride.  Can you guess how much he can see with all the mist?  Nothing! :-)

This about sums up Nathan's feelings about the Maid of the Mist!

Who said you can't be in two places at once?

RainForest Cafe - what a cool place for kids!  It storms every 20 minutes or so and the entire restaurant is like being in a rain forest with all the animals!

On one of our final few days, we had a a surprise visit from Yogi and Boo Boo!  It was awesome!  they danced with the kids, played hide-and-seek and brought ice cream.

Nathan hid with Yogi, but Nicholas found him pretty easy.  Yogi's a pretty BIG bear!

Mini golf with Yogi.
Nathan officially loves Yogi and Boo Boo now!
